Chandler Candidate withdrawal
Belinda Grooby has withdrawn as a Candidate for the Chandler Ward.
Her statement is below:
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my decision regarding my candidacy for the role of Councillor for Chandler Ward. Due to a recent change in personal circumstances, I am unable to give the position the full attention and dedication it deserves. My love for this community remains steadfast, and it pains me to step back from a role that I believe is vital for our residents.
I have immense respect for my fellow candidates and wish them all the best in their campaigns. They are passionate individuals who care deeply about our community and are committed to making a positive impact. While I will not be to actively campaign I am unable to withdraw my candidacy due to procedural constraints, I want to emphasise my support for those who are still in the race.
I believe that Chandler Ward deserves strong leadership and representation, and I am confident that my fellow candidates will rise to the occasion. I will continue to support our community in other ways, advocating for the needs and aspirations of our residents. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to seeing the progress our community will make together.
Belinda Grooby”
