Water Treatment Plant construction to begin
Melbourne Water’s plan for a Water Treatment Plant on the Tramway Track Pipe Reserve, behind Kuyura Rd and Murrumbung Rd, has been approved with site mobilisation and early works to begin in November this year.
Early works include tree and native vegetation removal, new powerline installation and site compound setup.
The site compound will be located near the corners of Tramway Rd and Warrawee Rd which will include offices, staff amenities, a car parking area for construction vehicles and storage for materials.
Main construction on the Water Treatment Plant will start early 2025 and take approximately two years to complete, with works taking place Monday-Fridays 7am to 6pm, and Saturdays 7am to 1pm when required.
